Sayoko has always prepared bentos for her children born in Japan. A real expert in that field, she also knows how to adapt to our western habits to make the art of bento even more accessible.

The art of bento is to fill your bento box with finesse and creativity so that it is as attractive as possible. Sayoko will help you to prepare a Japanese omelette, onigiri and other tasty dishes whose secrets she knows. Take your meals away to enjoy them on the Philosophy's Path, on the edges of the Kamogawa river or even in the park of the Imperial Palace.

After registration, the organizers will confirm by email the good running of the chosen activity one week before the scheduled activity time.

This activity takes place in our office, a few meters away from the Philosopher's Path.
You can reach our meeting place by bus. Get off at Kinrin Sharo Mae station (North-East of Kyoto, at the South of the Silver Pavilion) and walk for a few minutes Northward until you see the Fresco supermarket where Sayoko will be waiting for you.

Neighbourhood :

The Philosopher's Path is the most famous walks in Kyoto and connects the silver pavilion with the splendid Nanzenji temple district. At the foot of Mount Daïmonji, the path follows a canal bordered by cherry trees, small cafés, craft shops and restaurants. Lots of visitors come when the cherry and maple trees are in bloom and enjoy this wonderful spectacle.

Enjoy the area early in the morning when there aren't too many tourists about yet.

The district is located 25 minutes away from the city centre by bus.
 

Transport :

Bus service to easily connect to the city's other tourist areas, take the 100 bus to reach Gion or Kiyomizudera temple.
