Thank you very much for accommodating us, Travel Angel ! We enjoyed our stay very much at the Ikebukuro House, our home away from home in Singapore. Looking forward to returning on a future occasion soon.

From sunny island garden city Singapore.

We loved the Okazaki house !
It was an easy walking distance from many of the sights and places we wanted to visit.
We recommend renting bikes at Carillon, thanks to Daniel, and riding them along the river pathway. With a bike you can prtty much get anywhere you need to.
Also the senbei cracker store to the left of the alley is delicious !
Thank you for this lovely house, we will miss Kyoto for sure and maybe we will be back sometime !

Ivan & Davide, Venice, Italia - on 19 Mar 2012

Thanks for this experience, it was really interesting to live in a real japanese old house, experiencing life like used to be 50 years ago with the confort of some modern devices !

The six of us really enjoyed staying at this cosy house in Ikebukuro. We were thankful for the Family Mart, pharmacy and bento store all within 2 min on foot. The house was just the right size and had everything we needed. Many thanks to Laetitia for her guidance and patience. It has been an amazing week in Tokyo, made comfortable and accessible by this house. We look forward to coming back again !

What a beautiful home you have !
I have enjoyed sitting around the table for breakfeast and taking a walk around the lovely neihborhood.
Thank you so much !

Sam, Sheldon, Hieu & Kelvin, Perth, Australia - on 21 Jan 2012

We have enjoyed our stay here very much this past 3 weeks. Everything was so convenient and efficient, what with the 24hr supermarket and 24hr Bento store across the street, not to mention the Lawson and Family Mart down the road.

The facilities that this house has provided us with, kept us warm and cozy throughout the cold and frigid weather on the outside, and as our days out and about drew to a close, we always looked forward to coming home to our haven where we could kick back, relax and start anew the next day.

We overall had an amazing time and made many awesome memories, thanks to Japan Experience.

We will definitely be back ! Cheers !

We will be leaving for Osaka tomorrow! Feels really sad to leave Kyoto, this magical city! Not mentioning such a cute traditional Japanese house, the beautiful neighborhood and the friendly people here - things we will certainly miss.

We have been to a lot of places over the 6 days days in Kyoto. All amazing places! The best of all, we've seen SNOW in Kyoto today! Everything is white - it's so beautiful!!

Thank you Daniel for your welcome and help ! :-D We will be back !

We enjoyed the cozy little house up the lane in Ikebukuro. Everything was easy and the house a great size for the six of us. We got to visit Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku and many more! The highlight was having Christmas Day lunch at Gonpachi where the scene in Kill Bill was influenced by :) . We also got to see the amazing view from the top of the Sunshine Tower, and enjoyed eating a breakfast of sushi (freshly made) from the Fish Market.

Overall a wonderful time and the house is in a fantastic spot - close to shops, train, and walking distance to other areas!

David & Cassy, Taipei - on 24 Dec 2011

Wonderful base for discovering a beautiful city. The Gion House was everything we hoped for, so much better than an impersonal hotel stay. Thanks !

Debra & Liz, Leeds, UK - on 12 Dec 2011

Sad to leave Kyoto, beautiful city and lovely people.
Thank you Daniel and Margaux for your help.
We enjoyed our time in this charming house and neighborhood. Best wishes to all fellow travelers.
Enjoy Machiya house and Kyoto !

Marcus, Juliana and Ronald, Singapore - on 06 Dec 2011

This has been a heaven to us, this tiny Bizan house was frantastic. Everything was kept nicely and very clean. It held the warm in for us and allowed us to have sukiyaki which I believe, was a highlight for all of us. The location was quiet and food stalls around us was great.  We managed to go to Gion, Ginkakuji temple, Nishiki market, Terramachi and Shin kyogoku dori. We even walked from Terramachi all the way home! Stopping at stalls and shops.

Mandy, Ron & Daniel, UK - on 28 Nov 2011

We have really enjoyed our stay at Wabi house and Kyoto.
Autumn is a beatiful time to be here and experience all the vibrant colours of the maples.
Cosy, well equipped house to come back to after a days walling and cycling. Hired bikes and cycled to Arashiyama, took a train to Nara and did a great walk in the hills, also walked in the hills behind the philosophers path to see the view of Kyoto...
So much to do in too little time, we will love to visit gain.
Thank you.

Famille R., Bali, Singapore & France - on 24 Nov 2011

Thank you Daniel for the amazing tour of Kyoto village and of the house. We had a fantastic seven day here. Everything was perfect a souvenir to cherish !
Leaving for Tokyo, and still have another week in Japan. Sad to be leaving this magical place, but we know it wouldn't be the last time we'll see it !

A & V, Zurich, Switzerland - on 17 Nov 2011

Many thanks to Daniel for the warm welcome and support.
We had a very nice and enjoyable stay in Wabi house. Local aura and stay in this house allowed us to feel and touch the Japan style of life. Great !
Many thanks again and see you again.

A family from Thailand, Bangkok - on 13 Sep 2011

Only one word: "PERFECT"  :)

Arielle & Paul, Ann Arbor, USA - on 31 Jul 2011

We were here for a biology conference at the university, and this pretty apartment was a perfect place to stay.
We rented bicycles from the shop on the corner, and that allowed us to explore more corners of the city than we might have otherwise. It was interesting to be in a very old part of the city, just across the river from a very new, metropolitan part of the city.
We fully enjoyed our stay here in Kyoto.
