The most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Japan!

With its 3,776 m altitude, Mount Fuji offers an exceptional panorama when it comes to admiring the sunrise or sunset. That's why during its peak season in summer, many tourists climb Japan's highest mountain in hopes of enjoying these two special times of the day. When should you go so as not to miss the show? What route should you choose to be sure of reaching the summit before the first (or last) rays of the sun? Small summary of a parametrized ascent.

Schedules

In order not to be disappointed when reaching the summit, you still need to know exactly what time the sun rises and sets on the archipelago.

In general, the sun rises very early in summer and also sets very early . After all, it's not for nothing that Japan is nicknamed the ''land of the rising sun''!

In order to see a little more clearly, here is a summary table of sunrise and sunset times on Mount Fuji throughout the year.

Fortunately, relays have been installed all along the route to allow hikers to eat and rest a little.

These relays are located at each station between the 5th and the summit of Mount Fuji. You can buy food , drink , and even get supplies of oxygen bottles and medicines for all those who have mountain sickness!

Be careful, however, to plan your expenses carefully, since the prices charged in these relays are quite high!

Also note that camp beds are available (for a fee) at stations 5 and 8 on the route.
