À vingt kilomètres au nord de Kochi, près de la rivière Yoshino se situe le paisible village de Motoyama. Ville d'origine de l'écrivaine Tomie Ohara (1912-2000), la cité entretient une relation privilégiée avec les eaux qui coulent dans ses vallées.

    En bus : Depuis Kochi : prenez la ligne JR Shikoku Dosan jusqu'à la station Osugi (30 min). À Osugi, changez pour le bus ; de l'arrêt Osugi ekimae bus stop (ligne Tai-sen, direction nord), restez à bord jusqu'à l'arrêt Kizen koen mae (15 min).En voiture : Depuis Kochi, prenez l'autoroute Kochi I.C. jusqu'à Otoyo (35 min), puis la nationale 439 jusqu'à Motoyama (15 min).
