Visit Tokyo Disneyland, an extraordinary amusement park
The first Disneyland outside the United States
Tokyo Disneyland Amusement Park is located in Urayusu in Chiba Prefecture, on an artificial median in Tokyo Bay.
Opened on April 15, 1983, it is the first Disney park created outside the United States, after that of California in 1955 and Florida in 1971.
Did you know? Tokyo Disneyland Amusement Park is built in the style of the first Disneyland in California. Nevertheless, like Disneyworld in Florida, it is Cinderella's castle that we find iconically erected in the center of the park. Visitors to other parks (California, Florida, Paris, and Hong Kong) will have the chance to admire Sleeping Beauty's castle. Anyone who has ever visited one of the Disney parks knows that they are made up of different worlds, ranging from the western universe to the tropical jungle, including of course the world of fairy tales. In Tokyo, the traditional Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland (Tomorrowland) remain faithful to their original theme.

However, the Japanese have a knack for reinvention with unique and new ideas.
The "Main Street" (the main artery connecting the entrance to the castle) is called the "WorldBazaar". Frontierland (the world of cowboys), becomes Westernland. Two new ones are also appearing: Critter Country (main attraction: Splash Mountain) and Toontown (mainly Roger Rabbit's world). Note that, like its sister park in Paris, Disneyland Paris has a little brother, the Walt Disney Studios opened in 2002 - the Tokyo Disney Sea park was born in 2001 alongside Tokyo Disneyland, very close to the historical park.

Disneyland: a major tourist attraction in Japan
Tokyo Disneyland Park is managed by The Oriental Land Company. It is the only park that is not fully or partially managed by The Walt Disney Company. It is also the most profitable location of the Disney parks since its opening. In 2013, with 17.2 million visitors, Tokyo Disneyland became the second most visited theme park after the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Florida. Tokyo Disney Sea Park is also breaking records: the park reaches 10 million visitors in just 307 days, faster than any other Disney park!
