Nikko e il suo complesso religioso guida turistica travel

Imperdibile e indimenticabile, il complesso religioso di Nikko accosta gioielli dichiarati Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'Unesco, templi buddisti, mausolei e santuari shintoisti. La ville de Nikkô est située à 140 km au nord de Tokyo, dans la préfecture de Tochigi. Son nom signifie "Lumière du soleil". Cette ancienne cité a été bâtie au pied des montagnes, et se trouve au cœur du Parc national de Nikko qui abrite de grandes forêts de cèdres. Les alentours de la ville sont très connus car ils cachent de nombreux sites majeurs, temples bouddhiques et sanctuaires shinto, inscrits au Patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco depuis 1999.

Installés dans un écrin de verdure, ces complexes religieux constituent un must-have d'une visite au Japon et sont très appréciés des Japonais et des touristes. Pour preuve, un dicton japonais dit : "Ne dites pas "magnifique" avant d'avoir vu Nikko" (Nikkō o mizushite kekkō toiū nakare).

Prendiamo quindi il sentiero che va a sinistra per entrare in quello che era il cuore buddista del primo Nikkô e visitare il tempio Rinnô-ji , fondato dal monaco Shôdô Shônin e noto per la sua "sala dei tre Buddha", ma anche per il suo splendido giardino Shōyō-en . Siete pregati di notare che il Rinnô-ji è soggetto a lavori di ristrutturazione fino a marzo 2021 . I curiosi andranno anche ad esaminare gli oggetti di culto (mandala, campane) conservati nel Museo del Tesoro (di fronte al tempio).

Dietro il tempio, il Tôshô-gu segna il secondo periodo di Nikkô: è il luogo di sepoltura di Tokugawa Ieyasu. Questo santuario, riccamente decorato e testimone di influenze decorative cinesi , richiese la partecipazione di 15.000 uomini durante la sua costruzione tra il 1634 e il 1636 . Con i suoi colori dorati e vibranti, è considerato uno dei migliori esempi di architettura Momoyama, dimostrativo e ampolloso.

Head for Tochigi with the Spacia X train

To get to Nikko and Tochigi prefecture, you can also take one of Japan's newest train lines, aboard the brand-new Spacia X train! Departing from Tokyo's Asakusa station and heading for Tobu-Nikko and Kinugawa-onsen stations, this new Tobu Railway line features a luxurious and spacious limited express train, running from Tokyo to Nikko in 1h50.
