Exchange and activate your JRP.
Visit Tokyo and the surrounding area.

Transfer to Tokyo Station (not included). Direct Shinkansen journey to Kanazawa included in the Japan Rail Pass (approx. 2hrs 30mins).

Possible trips from Kyoto:

• The city of Kobe, between ocean and mountain. Visit the port then catch the cable car and admire the view over the inland sea. The journey to Kobe is covered by the Japan Rail Pass (45 minutes).
Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan. Visit its ancient buildings, classified as Unesco World Heritage sites, such as Todaiji temple or Kasuga Taisha shrine, and buy some shika-sembei, food for the fallow deer which roam freely within the city park. Train journey covered by the Japan Rail Pass (30 to 45 minutes).
Fushimi-Inari Taisha, a must-see in southern of Kyoto. Walk through the hundreds of red torii gates found at this incredible shrine. Train journey covered by the Japan Rail Pass (approx. 5 minutes).

KYOTO - HIROSHIMA

Transfer to Kyoto Station (not included). Direct train journey to Hiroshima included in the Japan Rail Pass (approx. 2hrs). Arrive and check in to the Dormy Inn hotel.

Visit Hiroshima and the surrounding area.

Don't miss:
• The Memorial Peace Park and its museum. You can add your own folded paper crane amongst those made by the many schoolchildren who visit Hiroshima to pay tribute to the victims of the atomic bomb.
Shukkei-en garden, an unspoilt garden which will reveal new surprises to you as you walk along its pathways.
Ikari shrine, built long ago by sailors in honour of the god of the seas.

- The districts of Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and Namba
- Den-Den Machi, Osaka's electronic district (where you can find goods at low prices)
- Osaka Castle

Things to do in Osaka:
- A cruise along the canal
- Snack on takoyaki and okonomiyaki
- Sprinkle water on the moss-covered statue of Fudo myo in the small Hozen-ji temple
