Start with a must-see city: stay two days in Kyoto, the former capital of Japan, and enjoy discovering (or rediscovering) the treasures of this magnificent city.

AMANO-HASHIDATE

Depart for Amanohashidate, "the bridge to paradise", one of the three most famous views of Japan, a world famous place for its strip of sand covered by pines separating the bay from Asaumi lagoon.

You will stay at Maruyasu, a charming 4* ryokan or equivalent (dinner and breakfast included)

TOTTORI

Your journey continues to the city of Tottori, known for its sand dunes that stretch over 16 km. You can rest at night in a 4* ryokan, Onsen Ryokan Marumo, or equivalent (dinner and breakfast included)

MATSUE

Often forgotten by tourists, Matsue is a charming city and definitely a place of interest. You can visit its magnificent castle, the highest in Japan but also one of the few original castles still intact, Buke Yashiki and MeiMei-Na mansions, and the art museum TANABE.

IZUMO

About thirty miles from Matsue, Izumo is a small city filled with old Japanese myths and legends. You can visit the shrine of Izumo-Taisha, one of Japan's oldest, and its eleven torii.

HAGI

The journey then continues to the city of Hagi. Originally a fishing harbour, this city is famous for its pottery. You can visit the famous Teramachi district, the samurai district and the temples district (Jonen-ji-ji Hofuku, Choju-ji-ji Kyotoku) as well as the city's museums.

IWAKUNI

On the seaside, Iwakuni is the next stop on your journey. Famous for its splendid bridge with five arches, kintaikyo, or the "brocade scarf, " Iwakuni is a city with undeniable charm, where you can visit Nikko Park, its castle and its museums.

KURASHIKI

The next day, you'ill go to Kurashiki, a fascinating "museum city" that has succeeded in preserving the charm of ancient Japan. Here you can stroll the streets along the canal or visit the many museums in the city (toy, craft and folk art, natural history and archeology).

The next day, you will visit Okayama and its famous Koraku-en garden, considered one of the four most beautiful gardens in Japan.

Fusing nature, art and architecture, Benesse House Hotel is a museum designed by architect Tadao Ando, famous worldwide for his works using space and light. You can visit all four buildings, each devoted to a specific theme, PARK / BEACH / MUSEUM / OVAL. An amazing place where you can admire the works of great artists such as Niki de Saint Phalle or Yayoi Kusama.

Enjoy your last day in Osaka and visit the castle, the National Bunraku Theatre, Denden Town district or the museums of the city.
