De JR West maatschappij biedt een Pas aan, de Sanyo San'in Area Pass, die het mogelijk maakt voordeliger te reizen dankzij een onbeperkte toegang tot de JR West trein lijnen in de regio gedurende 7 opeenvolgende dagen.

Treinlijnen inbegrepen in de Pass: De lijnen van JR West, Sanyo shinkansen (Nozomi, Mizuho, Hikari, Sakura, Kodama), Limited Express treinen, Kansai ariport express Haruka, de ferry naar Miyajima door JR-WEST.

Met de Pass kunt u de volgende bestemmingen bezoeken: Kyoto, Osaka, Kansai Airport, Nara, Wakayama, Kobe, Himeji, Okayama, Kurashiki, Takamatsu, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Tottori, Matsue, Hakata (Fukuoka).

De Pass is gratis voor kinderen jonger dan 6 jaar en de halve prijs voor kinderen van 6 tot 11 jaar.

De regio Sanyo

Ontdek Hiroshima, heropgebouwd sinds de tweede wereldoorlog, zijn memorial en zijn kasteel, het symbool van het voormalig feodaal systeem.

Hiroshima

Hiroshima, a relatively short Shinkansen ride from Osaka and Kyoto in Kansai, has earned a poignant place in the world's history where the first atomic bomb was dropped in 1945. But this modern city offers more than just memories. With its Peace Memorial Park, it's a city of hope. It offers visitors numerous tourist attractions, including a reconstructed Hiroshima castle and Shukkei-en gardens.

Additionally, Hiroshima is often cited for its culinary culture, providing unique interpretations of Japanese street foods, such as Okonomiyaki, which often has yakisoba at the bottom to differentiate it from the more classic Osaka rendition. Oysters are also a famous delicacy of Hiroshima, often eaten raw or in other dishes. Visit this symbolic city of culture and history!

The pass also includes places such as Izumi Shrine in Shimane, Tottori and its famous sand dunes, Tsuruga in Fukui, known for its great beaches, as well as Takamatsu on the island of Shikoku and Uno stations, both access points to Naoshima art island. This area is easily accessible via train rail from Hiroshima.

Make sure you do not miss Korakuen gardens in Okayama, one of Japan's top three gardens. The pass also allows you to use transport between Osaka, Nara and Kyoto, and the Ferry to Miyajima in Hiroshima, where you can admire the famous Torii of Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass grants access to a very diverse set of destinations accessible via a number of train rail systems including the Sanyo Shinkansen that is serviced via rail trains like the Nozomi Shinkansen, Mizuho Shinkansen, Hikari Shinkansen, Sakura Shinkansen, and Kodama Shinkansen.

Voorwaarden van de Sanyo San'in Area Pass

Omruiling

Alleen personen die in Japan zijn met een 'temporary visitor' visum kunnen gebruikmaken van de Pass.
De voucher (Miscellaneous Charges Order) kan worden omgeruild binnen een termijn van 3 maanden.
Om de voucher om te ruilen voor de Pass (Miscellaneous Charges Order) is een paspoort noodzakelijk.
Japanse onderdanen kunnen geen gebruik maken van deze regionale pas.
De activeringsdatum voor de pass kan niet meer worden gewijzigd eens de pass is verkregen.

Reservering

Via de Pass worden geen extra lasten aangerekend voor de reservering van de zitplaatsen.
Niet gereserveerde wagons hebben vrije toegang.
Wanneer je in eerste klas (green car) wenst te reizen, moet een supplement worden betaald.
Voor toegang tot het perron, leg je pass en/of ticket voor aan de agenten aan de toegang tot het perron.
Voor de reservering van een zitplaats, wend je naar de agenten aanwezig in de loketten.
Deze pass is nominatief. Houd je paspoort bij! Het stationspersoneel kan ernaar vragen.

Annulering

De voucher is terugbetaalbaar gedurende een termijn van één jaar.
De pass is terugbetaalbaar wanneer deze nooit aan een loket werd benuttigd.
Er wordt een annuleringskost van 15% van de waarde van de pass weerhouden.
Geen terugbetaling mogelijk voor de pass waarvan de geldigheidsdatum reeds is overschreden.
Geen terugbetaling noch omruiling van verloren of beschadigde vouchers.

Exchange

The MCO (Miscellaneous Charges Order) can be exchanged over a 3-month period.
To exchange the voucher (Miscellaneous Charges Order) for the pass you will need your passport.
The activation date of the pass, once passes have been obtained, can no longer be changed.

What lines are included with the pass?

The Limited Express trains HARUKA (to Kansai Airport), KUROSHIO, THUNDERBIRD, KONOTORI, YAKUMO, HAKUTO (incl. the line between Kamigori and Chizu).
Sanyo Shinkansen (trains Nozomi, Mizuho, Hikari, Sakura, Kodama) between Shin-Osaka and Hakata (Fukuoka).
Chizukyu Express Line.
Rapid and local trains of JR West lines.
The Chugoku JR Bus from Yamaguchi to Hagi and West JR Bus between Sanobe and Fukuchiyama and Kyoto Station and Takao.
The JR-WEST Miyajima Ferry.
Kyoto Tango Railway, for access to Amanohashidate.

What is not included in the pass?

The Pass is not valid on the Tokaido or Kyushu Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Kyoto.
Please note that this pass cannot be used on expressway buses.

Seat Reservations

With the pass, no additional fee is required for reserved seats.
Non-reserved Ordinary class cars can be accessed freely.
For reserved first-class seats (Green cars), you will have to pay additional fees.
To access the platforms, show your pass to the JR staff located at the platform gates.
For a reserved seat, ask the JR staff at the ticket office.
It is a personal pass. Please always carry your passport when using the pass as station and train staff may check it.

Cancellation conditions and fees

An unused voucher is refundable for one year from the date of issue.
The voucher can be refunded if it has never been exchanged in Japan.
A cancellation fee of 15% of the value of the voucher will be retained.
No refund is possible for a voucher received by us more than one year from the date of issue.
A refund is not possible for a lost or stolen voucher.

Vaak gestelde vragen

Kinderen van 6 jaar en jonger reizen gratis mee, als ze begeleid worden door iemand met een Japan Rail Pass. Ze hebben geen recht op een eigen stoel. Als uw wel graag een eigen stoel wilt voor uw kind, dat nog geen 6 jaar oud is, dan moet u een Japan Rail Pass voor uw kind kopen.

Vanaf 6 jaar moet u voor uw kind betalen. U kunt voor uw kind tussen de 6 en 11 jaar een Japan Rail Kinderpas kopen. Vanaf 12 jaar geldt het volwassen tarief.

The JR Sanyo San'in Area Pass is available for 7 consecutives day.

The passes validity is calculated in days, not in hours, so it does not matter what time you first use your pass. If you have a 7 days JR Sanyo San'in Area Pass and you start using it on the 1st of March, whatever the time, this will count as day 1, and you will be able to use until midnight on the 7th of March.
