house Sabi

A Typical Kyoto House

Description

With purely Japanese architecture, comfortable and newly renovated, Sabi House recalls Kyoto houses from the turn of the last century. Tucked away on a small lane, the house opens onto a large western living room and extends into a Japanese living room overlooking a small garden.

On the second floor, two warm and bright bedrooms with tatami flooring have both western and Japanese sleeping arrangements.

Ground floor : Kitchen / dining room, Japanese sitting room, bathroom and toilet, Japanese garden.

Upper level: Japanese bedroom with futons, Japanese bedroom with a double bed.

The house is located several meters from the favorite walk of local Kyoto people, the Philosopher's Path.

Near the house is Fresco, a small supermarket with fresh produce, for those who want to cook at home, as well as a delicious bakery, Yamada Bakery.

Bus lines near the house provide access to all famous neighborhoods and sights around the city.

Our opinion

Quiet and close to the Philosopher's Path, Sabi House has a space and aesthetic unique to Kyoto for a stay with either family or friends.
Experience the lovely and relaxing sensation of looking at a small Japanese garden from the sitting room, lying on the tatami.
