Thai Festival # 15
Thailand comes to Yoyogi Park on May 17th and 18th, 2014. A cultural event that started in 2001 and which welcomes around one hundred exhibitors.
This year, two culinary themes for the Thai Festival: herbs and spices. Two base products for Thai cuisine, also used in the manufacture of medicines and some household products. Thais use, for example, turmeric, tamarind and thyme in the famous herbal saunas.
To promote the culture of Bangkok, the festival of course offers food tasting, as well as stalls selling local crafts so that you can try your hand at making paper flowers. Demonstrations of traditional dances and Muay Thai, a style of boxing, also take place. Music-wise, the Thai Festival welcomes the rock group Modern Dog, the violinists Vie Trio and singer The Lanai na Nonkai.
