Day 1

From Kyoto, start by taking in the gorgeous landscapes of the Seto inland sea and its dozens of islands stretching on the horizon from the coast. During a stop in Kurashiki, enjoy some free time to stroll the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, before boarding the MIZUKAZE again for your first dinner, with a menu crafted by talented top-class Japanese chefs, cooked with locally-sourced ingredients. 

Day 2

The following day, after a restful night in your comfortable and elegant private room, stop in Unnan and Matsue for the day, two cities around Lake Shinji, blessed with breathtaking natural landscapes and traditional performing arts.

Day 3

On your last day onboard this magical train, the MIZUKAZE will stop at Tottori and Higashihama, two jewels on Japan's western coast. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Higashihama, with its natural highlights, recognized and protected by the UNESCO, as a decor, and have a great time sightseeing in Tottori.

Along the way, scenic panoramas will be visible from your window, where the TWILIGHT EXPRESS MIZUKAZE will slow down for you to fully appreciate the wonders in front of you. Such sights include the Setonaikai National Park, the Sea of Japan's Orii Coast, Lake Shinji, Mount Daisen and the Amarube Viaduct. 

You will also get to enjoy Kyoto's many UNESCO World Heritage sites, historic highlights and stunning natural landscapes as you will spend at least one night in the ancient Japanese capital before departing, and one night upon returning.
