Mi bus, mi bateau
Pour découvrir Tokyo, on connait les bus et les bateaux. Le Sky Duck regroupe ces deux moyens de transport pour une excursion à la fois sur terre et sur mer.
See the Tokyo Sky Tree from a bus and take the Arakawa River Lock on a boat. This is what Sky Duck makes possible. Launched in 2013 by the Sky Bus company, this 12 m long amphibious vehicle offers two circuits: the Sky Tree and Kameido Course.
The Kameido circuit is the shortest. Lasting 70 minutes, this tour starts at Kameido Umeyashiki, a mansion built in the architecture of the Edo era (1603-1868). Sky Duck then descends along the Kyunakagawa River before diving into the water. After this little swim, the boat / bus crosses the Kameido district to go along the canal parallel to the river. There, passengers can see Kinshi park on the other side of the river.
The Sky Tree itinerary starts right in front of the tower by the same name. For a hundred minutes, it takes passengers through the shopping streets of Kameido. In this part of Koto district, there are still rows of post-war houses. Then heads east, just opposite the Edogawa district. The bus crosses the Kyunakagawa River and the long awaited moment arrives: the big splash. The bus becomes amphibious, and then makes a short stop at the old pier before returning to the dry land. The Sky Duck heads back up towards Asakusa, to come back to the starting point.
