Located on an artificial island in Ise Bay, Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) serves the Chubu region and the city of Nagoya. Terminals and Airlines
Located around 35 km (22 miles) south of Nagoya, Chubu Centrair International Airport has been serving travelers since 2005 and welcomes nearly 12 million passengers each year.
The airport has two terminals:
- Terminal 1: Handles most international flights, as well as domestic flights operated by Japan's full-service airlines.
- Terminal 2: Primarily serves low-cost carriers (LCCs).
Chubu Centrair also offers international flights to major destinations across Asia, Europe, and North America, including:
- Seoul
- Taipei
- Hong Kong
- Shanghai
- Beijing
- Singapore
- Bangkok
- Helsinki
The airport is directly connected to downtown Nagoya by the Meitetsu Railway.

Getting to and from the Airport
Train
The Meitetsu Railway is the fastest option, connecting Chubu Centrair International Airport to Nagoya Station in just 30 minutes.
Express trains, including the Meitetsu μSky Limited Express, as well as semi-express services, also provide connections to several stations across the region.
The fare is approximately 980 yen, with an additional surcharge for the μSky service.
The Japan Rail Pass is not valid on the Meitetsu Railway line.

Taxi
Taxis are available outside the terminal.
Estimated journey:
- Nagoya city center: approximately 45 to 60 minutes
- Cost: around 15,000 to 20,000 yen, depending on traffic conditions.

Airport Limousine buses provide connections to destinations including:
