Every late winter Kairakuen Historical Park is adorned with thousands of plum blossoms. The Mito Ume Matsuri celebrates their blossoming, a symbol of renewal and perseverance. Visitors can stroll through the garden's fragrant alleys while enjoying traditional entertainment and food stalls.

The Nabana no Sato flower garden is famous for its fields of flowers, which change with the seasons. In spring, visitors can admire huge carpets of tulips, colza and cosmos during the Nabana no Sato Flower Festival. The site is also popular for its evening illuminations.

In spring, the Ashikaga Flower Park becomes one of the most spectacular places in Japan, thanks to its immense wisteria! During the Great Wisteria Festival, visitors can admire photogenic flower tunnels and a 150-year-old wisteria tree. Night-time illuminations dress up the park at sunset.

At Hitachi Seaside Park, an entire hill is covered with millions of blue nemophila when spring arrives. During the Nemophila Harmony, visitors can walk to the top of the hill to enjoy the landscape as it merges with the sky. Not to be missed if you're staying around Tokyo.
