Fritz brings both academic and personal depth to his expertise. With a background in Japanese Studies from Berlin and Tokyo, and having lived in Tokyo for a year, he offers a well-rounded perspective rooted in cultural understanding and firsthand experience. Over the past six years, he has visited Japan regularly for both business and leisure, averaging two trips per year.
His travel experience spans major and off-the-beaten-path destinations, including Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Naoshima, and lesser-known gems in Northern and Central Kyushu like Ozu and Uchiko. He has a strong interest in Japanese history and enjoys road-tripping, particularly in Kyushu.
His favorite dishes include ramen and kaiseki.
A defining experience was his year living in Tokyo, where he formed meaningful connections, played sports on a Japanese team, and immersed himself in everyday rituals and social life. He doesn’t offer predefined itineraries, instead creating fully customized, handcrafted tours.
What he loves most about Japan is its aesthetic beauty, diverse landscapes, warm people, cultural contrast with Europe, exceptional cuisine, and the endless travel possibilities the country offers.
