Ute's first trip to Japan took her there in 2004 with her school's youth choir – an experience that sparked her desire to return again and again. Later, she spent a year studying Japanese studies in Hiratsuka, where she was a member of the university choir.

What connects her most to Japan are the people: old friends, new acquaintances, and brief encounters that remain unforgettable. Kanagawa has grown particularly dear to her heart – a place full of beautiful memories. She especially appreciates Japan's unique blend of tradition and modernity.
