The total train journey from Chiba to Kofu generally takes between 2 hours 15 minutes and 2 hours 45 minutes, depending on connections. The Chiba-Shinjuku segment lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes. The Shinjuku-Kofu journey aboard a Limited Express Azusa takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. We recommend taking a JR train from Chiba to Shinjuku Station in Tokyo station. From Shinjuku, Limited Express Azusa or Kai trains depart directly to Kofu.
