After placing your order, you will receive a link to your e-ticket by email within 5 business days. If you need the ticket sooner, please contact us.

As this is an e-ticket product, you can use all available lines by simply showing the QR code on your electronic device. 

The QR code is dynamic and changes every 5 minutes. You can not use a screenshot and need an active internet connection to display the current code. Each passenger needs their own code.

For an easy journey :

Book your seat in advance as all seats on the Shimakaze are fully reserved

On the day of travel, arrive early at Kyoto Station to find the Kintetsu departure area

Show your ticket at the ticket gate or to staff when boarding

Find your assigned seat (indicated on your ticket) and enjoy the journey

Who can buy the shimakaze ticket ?

Everyone can purchase a Shimakaze ticket, but a KINTETSU Rail Pass 5 Days Plus is required to use it.
Who can buy the shimakaze ticket ?

Everyone can buy a Shimakaze train ticket. 
Children under 6 can travel free of charge, but a child ticket is required if they need their own seat on the limited express train.

How do I modify or cancel my shimakaze train ticket ?

Please contact us with your order number within one year of issuance to receive an 85% refund.
How do I modify or cancel my shimakaze train ticket ?

● Only unused tickets that are still within their validity period can be canceled.

● Please contact us at least 5 days before the ticket's expiration date to request a cancellation.

● A cancellation fee of 15% will be charged.

    In this two-story Café Car, travelers can enjoy a unique menu of foods and drinks special to Shimakaze that are made of products from along the Kintetsu line. The upstairs café provides an open space with a counter table, from which travelers can enjoy the ever-changing scenery.
    The downstairs café provides a soothing space with comfortable sofas.
