How to use the FUJI HAKONE Pass

Delivery time

Your 3-day Fuji Hakone Pass (e-voucher with QR code) will be delivered to you by email within 5 working days of your booking. It's important to check your junk mail folder in case the email ends up there.

If you need your voucher as soon as possible after ordering, don't hesitate to let us know.

Exchange 

The e-voucher that you are sent by email is to be exchanged exclusively at the Odakyu Shinjuku or Odakyu Odawara Counter:

1. When you plan to start using the ticket from Shinjuku station:

2. When you plan to start using the ticket from Odawara station:

  *Only exchange here if you want to start using your ticket from Odawara station
  *If you start using the ticket from Odawara station, the one-way fare from Shinjuku station to Odawara station included in this pass cannot be refunded

Cancellation and Modification

• This voucher is refundable only before being exchanged for the physical ticket
• A refund must be requested before the expiration date of the voucher
• As the Fuji Hakone Passes are booked together, we cannot cancel one pass in an order that contains several passes. Cancellation and refund is only possible if you request it for ALL of the Fuji Hakone Passes in your order
• A 15% cancellation fee will be withheld from the refund
• If you need to modify the number of people in your booking, please contact us before exchanging your voucher

Eligibility

You are required to show your non-Japanese passport when you exchange the voucher at the information counter.

Japanese passport holders cannot use this pass.

Seeing Mount Fuji for the first time in person is a special experience. With the Fuji Hakone Pass, the great volcano can be admired from near and far, starting from Hakone, easily accessible from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo via the Odakyu Line. From there, head towards Yamanashi Prefecture and gander at the mountain up close, looming over all other structures and landmarks in the area.

What to do in Hakone

One of the most well-known hot spring (onsen) regions in Japan is Hakone in Kanagawa. Rich in pristine nature and conveniently close to Tokyo, Hakone is a favorite destination for Kanto locals. Get away from the capital, explore historic craters, take in the beauty of undulating mountains, a lake that seems almost legendary, and then unwind in onsen that has been there since the beginning of time.

Situated in an extinct volcano crater in a mountain range, Hakone is 50 miles (80 kilometers) from Tokyo in Kanagawa Prefecture. In the past, it served as a stopover for travelers traveling between Kyoto and Tokyo. Offering breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, stunning Lake Ashi, and a plethora of ryokan and hot springs, among other attractions, it is one of the most visited tourist spots in the Kanto area. For anyone who wants to experience some of the best that the nation has to offer in one place, Hakone and its charming view of Mount Fuji are well worth the trip.

What to do in the Mount Fuji area

Going out towards the Mount Fuji Five Lakes Area, the venerable mountain will pop into view, and on a clear day, it is truly breathtaking. In the town of Kawaguchiko, there are a number of spots to admire Mount Fuji. Asama Shrine entails a short but worthwhile hike with amazing views of the mountains, but for those wanting something a bit more intimate, there are a number of shrines throughout the area that are traditionally visited by climbers of Mount Fuji, often near the base of the volcano. 

For a really standout way of enjoying your time in the area, the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park is a beloved attraction and is accessible with the Fuji Hakone Pass. Imagine seeing Mount Fuji from the top of a roller coaster!

The large lakes in the Mount Fuji area are home to gorgeous scenery and are great spots to spend leisurely time while taking in the amazing natural scenery that defines the Japanese countryide.
