Experience the fusion of art, culture, and the serene beauty of Japan's Seto Inland Sea at the Setouchi Triennale 2025.

This internationally acclaimed contemporary art festival, inaugurated in 2010, is set to captivate audiences once again across three distinct sessions:

  • Spring Session: April 18 – May 25, 2025
  • Summer Session: August 1 – August 31, 2025
  • Autumn Session: October 3 – November 9, 2025

Spanning a total of 107 days, the Triennale offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic array of artworks that harmoniously blend with the natural landscapes and local communities of the region.

Reviving cultural heritage and fostering community connections

The Setouchi Triennale is more than an art exhibition; it's a celebration of cultural revitalization and community engagement. By attending, you contribute to the preservation and promotion of the Seto Inland Sea's rich heritage. The festival's unique integration of contemporary art within rural and island settings offers a refreshing perspective, making it a must-visit event for art enthusiasts and cultural explorers alike.

Don't miss this extraordinary opportunity to witness how art can transform landscapes and communities. Mark your calendars for the Setouchi Triennale 2025 and be part of a journey where creativity meets tradition in the heart of Japan's scenic archipelago.

Purchase your passport to the festival

To fully engage with the diverse range of exhibits and events, visitors can purchase a Triennale Passport, granting access to multiple artworks across the participating sites. This passport is designed to enhance your festival journey, allowing for a comprehensive exploration of the art installations.

Access and Transportation

Navigating the Setouchi Triennale is facilitated by a network of ferries connecting the various islands and coastal areas. Takamatsu serves as a central hub, offering convenient ferry services to many of the festival sites. Additionally, Uno Port provides access to select locations.

Visitors are encouraged to plan their itineraries in advance, considering the ferry schedules and the specific session dates for each venue.

Location

The passport gives one-time entry to each art site during the festival. It is an economical and convenient way to explore the event.

The passport provides access to all Setouchi Triennale 2025 art sites, except for the Chichu Art Museum and the Teshima Art Museum, which require separate tickets.

Purchase it on our website to receive a voucher. You can exchange it at the venue for a digital or paper passport.

Tickets cannot be cancelled.

Our booking system requires a start time for technical reasons. However, you are free to visit at any time during the day. Please check the opening hours of each art site and ferry schedules in advance.
