Your excursion in detail

Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Onto the fish market

Uncover the heart of coastal Japan on this immersive guided excursion! Begin your day with a rush of excitement at the bustling fish market, where you will experience the thrill of the seafood auction firsthand. Then, you will head to a local distillery to learn about and taste some delicious spirits.

After building up an appetite, we recommend a sushi restaurant renowned for its fresh seafood (details in your travel log). Imagine sinking your teeth into the most amazing sushi you've ever had! Please note that lunch is at your own expense.

In the afternoon, your guide will drive you to the charming town of Miki where you'll immerse yourself in the meticulous process of creating timeless pieces and be amazed at the skill and artistry of the local craftsmen.

To wind down the day, you will visit a relaxing hot spring resort. Soak away your worries and enjoy a delicious dinner at your traditional inn, the perfect way to end the first day of your incredible adventure.

  • Day 2 : Kobe's diverse craftsmanship

Start your day relaxed at your ryokan and enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast before diving into today's adventure. Get hands-on at a pottery studio, shaping clay into your own unique masterpiece. Afterward, explore the world of ceramics at a nearby museum to appreciate the artistry of local potters. Then, visit a woodworking shop and get the chance to see how skilled artisans transform wood into beautiful objects.

Satisfy your hunger with a delicious lunch featuring local flavours. Then, uncover the secrets of traditional papermaking. Witness the intricate process of creating washi paper, a true testament to Japanese craftsmanship, before immersing yourself in spirituality with a visit to a local shrine.

Continue your exploration of local industries with a stop at a clothing factory to see how Japanese, domestically produced apparel is made. To cap off your day, indulge in the ultimate Kobe experience: a mouthwatering steak dinner. Savor the tender and flavorful Kobe beef, a true culinary delight.

This marks the end of your guided excursion in Kobe and the conclusion of your incredible adventure.
