Driven by a deep passion, Valentina studied Japanese language and culture at university, an experience that led her to explore Japan far and wide. She lived and studied in the city of Naha, on the main island of Okinawa, immersing herself in the daily life of the archipelago and developing an unbreakable bond with the area.
