To get to Hamamatsu from Tokyo, we recommend using the Shinkansen, Japan's high-speed train. You should take the Tokaido Shinkansen line. "Hikari" and "Kodama" trains serve Hamamatsu Station. It is important to note that "Nozomi" trains, while faster, do not stop at Hamamatsu. Shinkansen trains offer comfortable and reclining seats, as well as a high level of punctuality. For oversized luggage (exceeding 160 cm in total dimensions), it is recommended to reserve seats with a dedicated space. If luggage exceeds 250 cm in total dimensions, a specific reservation is mandatory. Compartments are often available at the ends of the cars.
