It is important to note that the faster Nozomi trains do not stop at Shin-Fuji. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes with a Kodama train and slightly less with a Hikari train. Shinkansen trains are renowned for their punctuality.

The cost of a Shinkansen ticket from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji varies depending on the type of seat. An unreserved seat (Jiyūseki) generally costs around 5,000 yen. A reserved seat (Shiteiseki) is slightly more expensive, typically around 5,500 to 6,000 yen. These fares are subject to slight variations. For Japan Rail Pass holders, the journey is included for Kodama and Hikari trains, but not for Nozomi trains.

Yes, Shin-Fuji Station is specifically renowned for its direct view of Mount Fuji. Upon exiting the station via the South Exit (Minami-guchi), you will have a clear view of the mountain if weather conditions permit. From the platform, when arriving from Tokyo, Mount Fuji is visible on the left. We remind you that visibility depends on cloud cover.

Shin-Fuji Station is a gateway to the Fuji region on the Shizuoka side. To reach the various bases of Mount Fuji or access points to hiking trails (such as Fujinomiya 5th Station), local buses are available. From Shin-Fuji Station, it is possible to take a bus directly to Fujinomiya 5th Station during the climbing season, or to Fujinomiya Station, from where other buses depart. We advise checking bus schedules and availability, as these can vary by season and day of the week. For access to the Fuji Five Lakes region (such as Kawaguchiko), Shin-Fuji is not the most convenient station; other routes from Tokyo (via Odawara or Shinjuku) are often more direct.
