The Hayabusa Shinkansen journey between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori is part of the Tohoku Shinkansen line, which then extends to Hokkaido. It traverses a key section of Japanese railway engineering. After Morioka, the line passes through numerous tunnels and viaducts. The Shinkansen also uses the Seikan Tunnel, which for many years was the world's longest underwater railway tunnel. This tunnel connects the main island of Honshu to Hokkaido, offering passengers a unique crossing under the sea, although the direct view is not visible from inside the train. The Hayabusa is also renowned for its high speed and the stability of its ride, even when reaching peak speeds.
