The Limited Express Azusa travels along a section of the Chuo Line that offers views of the mountainous landscapes of central Japan, particularly the Southern Japan Alps, on clear days. This line has played a significant historical role in connecting the capital to the mountainous inland regions of Yamanashi and Nagano, facilitating the transport of goods and people. A regional culinary specialty often available at stations along this route, or at stations like Shiojiri located before Chino, is the 'Torimeshi' Ekiben, a locally popular chicken-based bento.
