A few months before the World Cup, what better way to get in the mood than to dive into "All Out", the first Japanese anime devoted to rugby!
Dizzying bursts of speed, close-ups of the faces in full effort, zoom on the crampons, and catchy music, you could almost believe you are watching an episode of Olive and Tom, the famous Japanese animation series. Except that the ball in question is not round but oval, because All Out!! . The first manga dedicated to rugby in the history of Japanese manga, the reader and/or spectator follows the adventures of Kenji Gion, a very determined high school student who, despite his small size and build, decides against all odds to tryout in the rugby club of his high school. Written by Shiori Amase and published since 2012, the 12 volumes of All Out!! were then adapted into animated by TMS Entertainment and Madhouse studios, which signed Rémi sans famille or Olive et Tom. And it is a success! So much so that All Out!! is a partner of the Chichibu team in Japan and with the Parisian club Stade Français.
