A New design in summer 2017
Starting from the Saturday, July 15, 2017, the Pokemon Train with You is operating with a new design.

Starting from the Saturday, July 15, the Pokemon Train with You will be operating with a new design. This train, which is one of the most awesome character train in Japan, went in service in winter of 2012 to bring smiles to Tohoku childrens in the region devastated by the earthquake and tsunami of 2011.
The two cars train will be decorated outside with plenty of Pikachu. Inside, the decoration is also impressive with a special area for the children.
Families will appreciate as the trip between Ichinoseki station in Iwate prefecture, along the Tohoku Shinkansen, and Kesennuma in Miyagi Prefecture is 1 hour and 50 long.
The train is not operating every day, please check the schedule in JR East Website.

The journey is covered by the Japan Rail Pass but please note that all seats are reserved seats.
