Super Mario × JR Kyushu: "Let's Go KYUSHU!"
To promote the beauties of the region, JR Kyushu is launching a unique collaboration with Super Mario from November 29, 2025 to June 30, 2026. For the occasion, six trains have been decorated with Super Mario's effigy, including two shinkansen.
- JR Kyushu Sonic, connecting Hakata (Fukuoka) and Oita/Saiki
- JR Kyushu Midori, connecting Hakata and Sasebo
- JR Kyushu Kasasagi, connecting Mojiko and Hizen-Kashima
- JR Kyushu Relay Kamome, running between Hakata and Takeo-Onsen
Each of these trains will represent a different level of the game, and will feature unique motifs ranging from submarines to the franchise's iconic castles. Stickers and artwork will also adorn the doors and windows, and mushroom-colored seats and "?" blocks will welcome passengers. Personalized announcements will also enhance the ride.

- Shinkansen 800 Series Tsubame
Linking Hakata to Kumamoto and Kagoshima the 800 Series Tsubame will also be decked out in Super Mario colors from March 7! Capsule toys will also be distributed on board.
Finally, a limited "Super Mario-go" train will run from Hakata to Oita on November 29 and 30, 2025 , to mark the start of the campaign in style!
