<i>Judo Saga</i> (1943)
Akira Kurosawa of (1910-1998). During the war of the Pacific, the future master signs his first prduction. Based on a bestselling novel, the story focuses, in a context of the end of feudalism, the initiation of a young follower of Jujitsu following the teachings of Master Kano, the founder of judo. The director films a simple, stylized action story glorifying the spirit of the Japanese nation.
