A note on hotels:
A single room additional fee is mandatory for any odd number of participants. However, triple rooms, depending on the hotel, may be available upon request.

In Japan, a densely populated country where everything is more compact, the 2* and 3* hotels are of good quality but the rooms are often small (10 to 18m2 depending on the hotel). For more space, don't hesitate to contact us for an upgrade to a 4* hotel.

Rooms for 2 people in Western hotels have 2 separate single beds ("twin" room) as standard. Contact us to request a double bed at no extra cost but no guarantee of availability. Note that double bed rooms are smaller than twin rooms. The nights at a ryokan and temple-inn in Hakone-Mount Fuji and Koya-san are spent in traditional Japanese style. See the "Detailed Itinerary" below for details on what to expect.

Please note that in the case of single travelers a supplement fee will be applied to all accommodation except the ryokan in Hakone and shukubo in Koya-san, where single travelers will be required to pay for a 2-person room, since for traditional accommodation like this there are no single rooms. However if you are in an odd-numbered group, as ryokan and shukubo offer spacious rooms for up to 5 people, a supplementary fee will not be charged.

* Flight prices by date (with airport transfers included - by public transport in Osaka and Tokyo) are given for information only on the "reservation basket" page. The price includes airport taxes which can be revised if necessary.

The arrival and departure dates in Osaka and Tokyo concern your tour in Japan. You will need to fly the day before from your home country. The return flight from Tokyo Narita or Tokyo Haneda airport should arrive the same day given the favorable time difference (destination country depending).
