Flights:

The departure and end dates of the tour concern your flight and arrival from/to your departure country.

Most flights will require a transfer (less than 5 hours) in Asia or the Gulf States before landing in Tokyo.

Accomodation:

The basic price includes one room for 2 people in 3* equivalent hotels (and 4**** in Kobe).

In Japan, a high-density country where everything is small, the 3* hotels are good quality hotels but the rooms can be quite small (12 to 24m2) depending on the hotel. For more comfort, don't hesitate to contact us for a quote with 4* hotels.

By default you will stay in rooms with double bed. However, please note that in Japan the rooms most often have 2 separate single beds ("twin" room). Thus, in case of unavailability of a double room, you can be accommodated in a twin room. Note that double bed rooms are smaller in size than twins.

Flight to Tokyo. 

Overnight on the aeroplane, arrive the next morning at Tokyo.

TOKYO

Arrival at Tokyo at Narita or Haneda Airport.

Transfer to your hotel by shared shuttle.

TOKYO

Night in your 3* hotel in the Akasaka or Ikebukuro district.

Note: Breakfasts not included in your package can be added at the reception desk upon arrival at the hotel. However, in Tokyo, Kobe and Kyoto, you will find many cafés near your hotel serving generous and often tastier breakfasts than those of hotels, which sometimes have restrictive schedules.

Visit Tokyo and the surrounding area.

- The Asakusa district and Senso-ji temple
- The Tokyo Skytree, 634 metres high, and Tokyo Tower, a symbol of the city
- Ueno Park and its many museums

TOKYO

Included in your offer: You will enjoy a sunset on Tokyo Bay with a show cruise on a "samurai boat". You can admire the Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge, while enjoying a Japanese show and dinner. Dinner and drinks included.

TOKYO - HAKONE

Transfer to Tokyo Station (not included).

Shinkansen to Odawara included in the Japan Rail Pass (about 40 minutes), then change to Hakone (not included - 310¥ supplement to be paid on site, about 2.50€).


Check in at your ryokan (traditional japanese hotel).

Free visit of Hakone:
- Gora-koen Park
- The Chokoku-no-mori outdoor museum
- The Hakone-jinja sanctuary
- Mount Fuji from Lake Ashi-no-ko

Things to do in Hakone:
- Crossing Lake Ashi
- Walk along the old Tokaido road that linked Kyoto to Edo, lined with cedars and pines
- Pass through the former border post of Hakone

HAKONE

Dinner and overnight in your ryokan.

Included: Private onsen (traditional japanese bath) in your room. 

In ryokan 3*** you will sleep on comfortable futons placed on the tatami. 
In ryokan 4**** you will sleep either on futons or on western beds in the middle of a traditional tatami room.

HAKONE - KOBE

Traditionnal breakfast at your ryokan. 

Enjoy your morning in Hakone, then leave for Kobe. Local train journey to Odawara (not included - 310 yen supplement to be paid on site, about 2.50€), then Shinkansen journey (covered by your Japan Rail Pass).

A city open to the world thanks to its port, Kobe is a charming city with its western and eastern districts. You will also be charmed by its mountainous landscapes or its beaches.

Check into your hotel. 

Don't miss:
- Meriken park, which extends along the bay
- "Kobe Port tower" and its panoramic platform
Nunobiki, which takes you through the Kobe valley and its waterfall

KOBE

In the evening, you can admire the sunset and one of the 3 most beautiful night views of Japan from Mount Rokko. This is the most popular meeting place for lovers!

Discover the surroundings of Kobe:
- Himeji and its white castle, often considered the most beautiful in Japan (about 40 min, covered by the JR Pass)
- Awaji island, in the inland sea of Japan, which offers hot springs, sanctuaries, beaches and traditions (about 1 hour 40 minutes by bus)

KOBE

KOBE - MIYAJIMA

Shinkansen and local train journey to Miyajima-guchi, then take the ferry to Miyajima island (approx. 2 hours, covered by your Japan Rail Pass). 

Check into your ryokan (japanese traditionnal accommodation). 

Miyajima
, "the Island of the Gods", is one of the most visited sites in Japan:
- Itsukushima-jinja sanctuary and its huge red gate (ootorii) which rises from the sea. (Please note that the Miyajima ootorii is under construction until August 2020 but the island is full of many other wonders.)
- Momijidani Park (Maple Valley)
- Daishô-in Temple
- View of the bay from Mount Misen, Shishi-no-iwa

MIYAJIMA

Traditionnal japanese dinner (included) and night at your ryokan.

MIYAJIMA - KURASHIKI

Train journey to Kurashiki (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes, covered by your Japan Rail Pass).
Check into your 3-star hotel. 

Ancient commercial metropolis, Kurashiki is also called "Little Venice" for its canals that border the city. Romanticism is guaranteed!

Possible day trips from Kyoto:

- Nara, the first capital of Japan. Visit its ancient buildings, classified as Unesco World Heritage sites, such as Todaiji temple or Kasuga Taisha shrine, and buy some shika-sembei, food for the fallow deer which roam freely within the city park. (30 to 45 minutes).

- Fushimi-Inari Taisha, a must-see shrine in southern Kyoto. Wander through the tunnels made of hundreds of red torii gates found at this incredible shrine. (approx. 5 minutes).
