Yamato-Saidaiji Station in Nara is a Kintetsu railway station with connections to Kyoto, Osaka, Asuka and Yoshino.

Passengers traveling east to NagoyaIse and TobaMatsusaka, Tsu and Kuwana travel from Yamato-Saidaiji Station via Yamatoyagi.

To get to Toshodaiji and Yakushi Temple in the southwest of Nara take the Kintetsu Kashihara Line to Nishinokyo Station from Yamato-Saidaiji Station. The Kashihara Line from Yamato-Saidaiji connects to Kashiharajingu-mae and then further south to Asuka and Yoshino on the Kintetsu Yoshino Line.

For Horyuji, you can take a train to Kintetsu Tsutsui Station and then a bus in the direction of Oji and get off at the Horyuji-mon-mae bus stop on National Highway 25 across the road from the Horyuji Information Center.

The NaraFamily shopping complex includes the Kintetsu Nara Department Store and a large Aeon supermarket. Stores in Kintetsu Nara Department Store include a branch of Uniqlo, the JTB travel agents, Benetton and a post office. There are restaurant floors in the basement and on the 6th floor.

Sanwa City just opposite the station has branches of Starbucks and Subway, a Docomo store, a Mitsui Sumitomo Bank ATM, and various other restaurants and cafes.

The station building itself holds the Time's Place Saidaiji shopping center with a Family Mart convenience store, a branch of import store Seijo Ishii and various other fresh food stores and restaurants.
