Higashiyama, a picturesque district

Most of our houses are located in the historic Higashiyama district. Located to the east of the city center, the district offers a picturesque atmosphere with its cobblestone streets, traditional Higashi Chaya tea houses and temples. Here you'll find one of Japan's three best-preserved geisha quarters, the Ninja-dera temple, also known as "the ninja temple", and the 21st-century museum of contemporary art. Ideally located, our homes are at the heart of the most popular tourist attractions. The Kenroku-en garden, Kanazawa castle and Omicho market are also within easy walking distance.

Higashiyama: Kanazawa's Higashiyama district is the historic district renowned for its traditional charm and picturesque atmosphere. It offers an immersive experience of traditional Japan. It's the best place to stay to experience traditional Kanazawa.
Katamachi: This is Kanazawa's lively district, renowned for its many stores, restaurants, bars, concerts and other entertainment venues. It's a great place to stroll, shop and enjoy the city's nightlife. Our accommodation is ideally placed here, as it's only a few steps from major tourist attractions such as the historic Samurai district.
Railway station area: We offer a house very close to Kanazawa railway station, to make it easier for us to get around outside the city. Ideal for excursions throughout the region.

Our accommodations in Kanazawa are mainly houses. Kanazawa is a historic city, with many traditional buildings. So to make the most of the city's experience, we offer a wide choice of traditional and completely renovated Japanese-style accommodation.

Our homes all have their own special features, which you can explore by looking at the details of each accommodation page. Renovated in keeping with Japanese architecture, they combine modern comforts with the charm of traditional homes: cob walls, shoji and fusuma (sliding doors made of rice paper or wood), exposed beams or rooms equipped with tatami mats, bamboo and subdued lighting, with the modernism of Western style.

The rooms in our homes feature Japanese-style tatami mats and futons, offering authentic comfort, as well as Western-style single or double beds, depending on your choice of accommodation. Enjoy a comfortable living space with plenty of nooks and crannies dedicated to relaxation, such as a charming balcony or an indoor Japanese garden. The kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary needs. As for the bathroom, it generally follows Japanese tradition with a wet room. You'll also find a bathtub in each unit for relaxing in after a day's sightseeing. A washing machine is also available. However, it's important to note that room laundry service is not included in the price. It costs 1,800 yen (approx. 12 euros) per person, and must be paid directly to your Travel Angel if you wish to use it. You can also bring your own sheets. Wifi internet connection is available in all our houses.

The rental price covers all accommodation per night. In order to comply with insurance requirements in Japan, please do not exceed the maximum number of occupants indicated in our data sheet. The price includes all equipment in the apartment, as well as the special service of our Travel Angel. He will welcome you and accompany you throughout your installation and your stay in our homes. Please note that the laundry service is not included in the price. It costs 1,800 yen (approx. 12 euros) per person, payable directly to your Travel Angel on arrival.
