Here are a few tips on how to reach Tokyo from Narita and Haneda airports, according to your budget!

⇒ Tokyo Narita

  • Narita Express: managed by the JR company, this option gives you a direct train to Tokyo station, Shinagawa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Yokohama with no changes (Narita route - Tokyo Station in 53 minutes). All seats need to be reserved. Pros: Comfort and speed.

  • Keisei Skyliner: this railway line can reach Ueno station from Narita in only 41 minutes. Less direct, but cheaper than the Narita Express, Keisei Skyliner stands as the solution for travellers on a budget or those who do not have the Japan Rail Pass. Pros: The price.

⇒ Tokyo Haneda

  • Keikyu Line: reach central Tokyo in just 30 minutes, thanks to this train that travels to  Shinagawa station on the Yamanote Line (JR), connecting you to the main stations of the capital: Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza... Pros: The price and speed.
  • Tokyo Monorail: Get to Tokyo without any changes via this suspended monorail that will bring you to Hamamatsu-cho, on the Yamanote Line (JR). Fast and efficient, although it's not the most spacious. Pros: The views as you make your way into the Capital.

Limousine Bus

With white lace covers impeccably arranged on each seat headrest, the limousine buses are a great choice for getting directly to you hotel from Haneda or Narita. Most international hotels in Tokyo are served by these buses (see details online) Pros: Door to door service.
