94,000 square meters of flowers of all kinds!
In Tochigi prefecture, ashikaga Floral Park is one of the most beautiful floral parks in the region. With its eight floral "seasons", spread over 94,000 square meters, it offers a truly dreamlike journey through the cycles of nature.
Famous for its wisteria in spring, it welcomes several hundred water lilies and hydrangeas in summer. In autumn, its momiji (blushing maples), but in winter, as nature falls asleep, it's the illuminations that invite you to dream.
"Flower Garden of Lights: Flower Fantasy 2025
From October 18, 2025 to February 15, 2026, the park will be decked out in its finest illuminations! The theme of this 24th edition will be "Flower Garden of Lights: Flower Fantasy 2025", a program featuring five million LEDs, illuminating every nook and cranny of greenery with spectacular installations.
Among these, the illuminated Rose Garden of Light caught our eye. From the observation platform, the experience is enhanced by the fragrance of the roses, offering a unique sensory immersion, where light and fragrance combine for an exceptional moment.
Another editorial favorite is the Château aux Fleurs, an ephemeral castle of luminous flowers, light displays and LED fireworks.
Finally, the park will adopt the theme "Winter Lights and Peonies", from January 1 to February 15: a celebration of plum and chimonanth flowers, illuminated to create a poetic atmosphere. The perfect way to start the year on a bucolic note!
Please note that the illuminations start at 4.30pm. The park closes at 8.30pm on weekdays and 9pm on weekends and public holidays. For further information, please visit the park's official website.
