Near the University of Kyoto, in this student district students, on the fifteenth of each month, along the tree-lined paths of Chion-in, is held one of the three main markets of the city.
The Hyakumanben is smaller and more creative compared to the Toji or Kitano Tenmangu flea markets. Here you can discover young artists who come to exhibit their works and sell them at reasonable prices. You can also find handmade jewelry and secondhand clothes, and many food stalls.
Stroll, find all sorts of things and walk near a temple with a pleasant atmosphere, all for the pleasure of discovering the day-to-day life of the people of Kyoto.
