Spa World, Osaka's must see Onsen complex

 Located in Southern Osaka, Spa World is a unique spa center that offers seven floors of onsens, saunas and swimming pool.
 Open 24/7 this space also offers accommodation options as well as food courts and restaurants.

European Onsens

The 3rd floor of Spa World offers western styled baths organized by themes: Roman baths, Mediterranean Sea, Greek baths, saunas from Finland, Azura Cave and Atlantis. The Spanish onsen is very original, you need to walk small path to reach waterfalls that are flowing into a pond.
The European area is open to women 24/7, every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November). The other six months are reserved for men. 


Asiatic Onsens

The 4th floor houses a series of oriental baths from ancient Persia to Japan and from the Middle East to Southeast Asia. Japanese baths are located on the outside. They reflect the art of traditional bathing and will send you back to the hidden ryokans of distant summits.
The Asiatic area is open to men 24/7 every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November). The other six months it is open to women only. 



Swimming pools, Gyms and Relaxation areas

On the last floor, you will find a fun water park offering all sorts of rides and slides. In this area, the bathing suit is mandatory. It is open only in the summer. In addition, the outdoor Jacuzzi and family pool are open all year long from 10AM to 10PM.
The gym is located on the 5th floor. World Spa also offers Japanese, Thai or Swedish massages, a Balinese beauty salon and also relaxation sessions following traditional Chinese medicine techniques.



Accommodations and food court

If you plan on staying 24 hours at Spa World, you might want to spend the night there. Located on the Nankai line, Spa world is accessible directly from Osaka international airport (KIX) with a 40 minutes rides.
The upscale rooms overlook the famous Tsutenkaku tower and have private baths.
It is forbidden to bring exterior food inside Spa World. Therefore you should plan a part of your budget for food inside or go out for dinner in a nearby restaurant. 



Useful information

Access: Spa World is well connected. From Kyoto, take the Keihan Line to Yodoyabashi, then take the Minamikusa micho Line to the Dobutsuen stop.

 Opening hours/days: Spa world is open 24/7 all year long.

Admission: 2 700 yen and 1 500 yen for children under the age of 12 on weekdays. 3 000 yen and 1 700 yen for children on weekend. There are frequent discounts on the home page of Spa World’s website where you can find tickets for 1 000 yen.

Please note that access is refused to people with tattoos and that bathing suits are not allowed on the onsen areas.
