Located just 40 min west of Sapporo, Teine Ski Resort offers quality powder and breathtaking views from its slopes!
The perfect resort, a stone's throw from Sapporo
Hokkaido is famous for being the favorite destination during a trip to Japan in Winter. Athletes and winter sports enthusiasts will appreciate it: the small ski resort of Teine is very close to Sapporo and easily accessible from the city, by car or public transport. Renowned for its sumptuous panoramic views from its slopes, this ski resort is ideal for a snow holiday with friends or family. As in France, the estate is open from the end of November to the beginning of April or the end of March, depending on the season.
The 15 slopes of the area are traced on the slopes of Mont Teine at an altitude of 1,023 meters and over 76 hectares. They will be perfect for beginners (35% of the slopes), experienced skiers (40%), and winter sports experts (25%).
Small original point: the resort of Sapporo Teine hosted the 1972 Winter Olympics, the first-ever organized in Asia. This is where the alpine ski slalom, as well as the bobsleigh and luge competitions, were held. There is no doubt that the slopes of Mont Teine will delight both today's visitors and international athletes of the time.

Snow for all
The area is made up of two large ski areas: the "Highland zone" and the " Olympia zone".
The "Olympia zone" includes slopes for all levels, including beginners and intermediate skiers. Some slopes in this area are skiable at night, until 9 pm. You will be able to enjoy a descent on skis with a view of the lights of the city of Sapporo below. The "Highland Zone", located on the heights of the mountain, is more for experienced and expert skiers.
The two areas are linked by the "Rainbow Trail", a 5.4 km long trail starting from the summit. Get ready to enjoy great views of the city and Ishikari Bay from the slopes, too. These panoramas have made this ski resort famous.
In addition, experienced skiers and off-piste enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of excellent quality powder snow. The Kitakabe trail, ungroomed, on the North face, offers a superb experience of descent between the snow-covered fir trees.
The Sapporo Teine area also offers skiers wishing to practice a training park with moguls, ramps, slalom courses, etc. This area will particularly appeal to snowboarders. Children who do not yet ski can have fun in the " Dinosaur Park", including a sled activity.

All the classic facilities are available in the Olympia area: restaurants and cafes, lockers, equipment rental, ski lessons (in English), parking... At the top of Mount Teine is also the Hot Cafe 1023 d where you can admire the panorama from the warmth!
