The Affordable Onsen with a View of Mount Fuji

Located in Shizuoka prefecture just an hour and a half from Tokyo, the Ohito hotel is a small haven of peace. With its garden overlooking the city from its hot springs, this onsen hotel attracts many city dwellers every week who come to relax for a weekend on the Izu Peninsula. The best part is you get to admire the breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji while relaxing on the onsen!

A hotel that focuses on well-being above all

Part of the famous Itoen hotel-onsen chain, the Ohito hotel takes its name from the small town on the Izu peninsula that it overlooks.

Nestled several meters above sea level, it offers a breathtaking view of the small town of Ohito! A location that allows it to energize its host land since the hotel attracts many city dwellers every week who come to recharge their batteries far from the tumults of large urban centers.

It must be said that the site is an ode to well-being. Park with ashiyu, outdoor Japanese foot baths, massage parlors, karaoke, tennis courts, and a game room, the establishment has a strict motto: to ensure that its customers rest and relax!

A concept that the hotel seems to push to the limit since it even went so far as to impose full board on its guests!

Indeed, all its rooms are for rent with breakfast and dinner included. The latter then takes the form of large all-you-can-eat buffets, where residents can eat as much as they want for 2 hrs, and where Japanese cuisine mixes without remorse with more Western flavors.

With two large single-sex indoor baths overlooking the site's garden and several private baths, the establishment's hot springs even attract residents from Tokyo.

A phenomenon not so surprising, when you know that the private onsen with which the Japanese-style rooms are equipped is located on a terrace leading directly to Mount Fuji!

Indeed, the Ohito hotel is a very nice spot to admire the highest peak in Japan. And whether it's from the garden or the rooms, the indoor onsen, or the private baths, you'll always find a place to catch a glimpse of the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji.
