Very often, in the morning, a sea of clouds is offered to your sleepy little eyes which will quickly marvel at the grandiose spectacle of nature. You have a front row seat for the sunrise, which you can only appreciate by sleeping there.
On the menu of outdoor activities
From the walk ! This is the program of the place, after hours of contemplation you will have to go out a little further than your room. Do not panic, there is something for all tastes and all abilities, from the best hikers eager for climbing to leisurely short walks, but not in town shoes either.
The natural Circus of Senjojiki (the thousand tatamis in Japanese) is accessible at the foot of Mount Hôken , one of the Kiso mountains, a landscape of glaciers formed by a depression from the last ice age. A hiking trail has been laid out for a walk of about 45 minutes to discover the alpine plants throughout the summer.
In autumn, the golden and red colors of the kôyô are a delight for the eyes of those who know how to appreciate the natural beauty of the world. The contrasts are strong between the orange-red of the deciduous trees, the green of the pines and the white of the rocks.
For a refueling break, return to the hotel. It has a restaurant and even a cafe for a small snack.
If the heart and the legs tell you, you can try the ascent of Mount Kisokoma (2,956 m) via Mount Naka, it will take you two hours to the summit, in summer only of course. Beginners can get away with it without harm (in the legs perhaps!).
Several refuges mark out the course for breaks or a whole night, in this case it will be necessary for you to reserve your place in advance. There is even the possibility of pitching your tent , after request there too, you will be given a location.
