Notes on hotels:
A single room additional fee is mandatory for any odd number of participants. However, triple rooms may be available upon request, depending on the hotel.
Please note that in the case of single travelers a supplement fee will be applied to all accommodation except the ryokan in Hakone, where single travelers will be required to pay for a 2-person room, since for traditional accommodation like this there are no single rooms. However if you are in an odd-numbered group you will find spacious rooms for up to 5 people so a supplementary fee will not be charged.
See the Hakone-Mount Fuji step of the "Detailed Itinerary" below to learn more about what to expect from a night at a traditional ryokan.

In Japan, a densely populated country where everything is more compact, the 2* and 3* hotels are of good quality but the rooms are often small (10 to 18m2 depending on the hotel). For more space, don't hesitate to contact us to request an upgrade to a 4* hotel.

Rooms for 2 people in Western hotels have 2 separate single beds (called a "twin" room) as standard. Contact us to request a double bed at no extra cost, but with no guarantee of availability. Note that double bed rooms are smaller than twin rooms.

* Flight prices by dates (with airport transfers included - by public transport in Tokyo and shared shuttle in Kyoto) are given for information only on the "reservation basket" page. The price includes airport taxes which can be revised if necessary.

The departure dates in Tokyo and at the end of the tour in Kyoto concern your stay in Japan. You will need to take the plane the day before the tour start date from your country. The return flight from Kansai International Airport (KIX), the closest airport to Kyoto, will arrive in your home country on the same day given the favorable time difference (destination depending).
