Heading for the greenery

Yoyogi Station, located in Shibuya Ward, Yoyogi Ward, was opened in October 1906 and served by JR East's Yamanote and Chuo-Sobu lines. In April 2000, the Toei Oedo subway line was added, managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau (Toei).

Yoyogi Station is located southwest of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, one of Tokyo's largest parks. More than 20,000 trees dot the 58 hectares of the park, famous among other things for its 1,500 cherry trees. The beginning of spring here is a real spectacle of colors.

Although the station has the same name as the famous Yoyogi Park, it is much easier and faster to get to Yoyogi Park from Harajuku Station.

On the other hand, not far from Yoyogi station, there is a pleasant little park that is much more discreet and above all much less crowded: Yoyogi midori koen.

If you want to avoid the crowds and take in the greenery, take the West Exit of Yoyogi Station, head to the North Entrance of Meiji Shrine, and follow the path to the right, to the park.

A 2-minute walk from the West exit of the Yamanote line, Yoyogi village by Kurkku is a green and designer space that houses shops, bars, and restaurants with terraces.

A relaxing and natural break far from the tumult that agitates the neighboring districts...
