The Ariake Coliseum in the Odaiba area of Tokyo, is Japan's main tennis venue and hosts the annual Japan Open Tennis Championships. Past winners of this prestigious tournament include such greats as John McEnroe, Stefan Edberg, Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Japan's own Kei Nishikori.
The Ariake Coliseum is set within the Ariake Tennis Forest Park (有明テニスの森公園) an outdoor tennis park that also hosts rounds of the WTA Pan Pacific Open, a women's tennis tournament.
The Ariake Coliseum will host the tennis tournament for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The Ariake Coliseum was completed in 1987 and has a seating capacity of 10,000. The stadium has a retractable roof which pre-dates the one at Wimbledon in London.
The Ariake Tennis Forest Park has a total of 32 hard courts and 16 Omni courts and opened in 1983. The courts stage a number of high school and university tennis tournaments and can also be rented by members of the public.
