When spring comes, the century-old cherry tree in the park is adorned with thousands of pink petals to delight walkers.
A landmark of croaking birds, Maruyama Park features large expanses of green ideal for relaxing. Whether it's for a picnic or to catch your breath after visiting the many temples of the Higashiyama district , serenity is waiting for you. Take a detour before starting the ascent of Chion-in , as if delicately placed at the top of a mound.
The park has become the unmissable event to celebrate Hanami in Kyoto when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Do not miss the large cherry tree illuminated at night, the main attraction of Maruyama-Kyoen in spring.
