Chicken, sake and large tables
The Torisei offers the best breakfasts Fushimi. There are many specialties including chicken yakitori, famous kebabs. The assortment of Yakitori dishes and Torimeshi teishyoku deserve special mention. Plates of cheezu katsu (fried cheese) are less than three hundred yen ($2.75/2.25€)!
The atmosphere is warm and friendly, like an old inn where large tables gather strangers side by side. Sake served in a glass placed in a wooden cup "masu" filled to the brim. A perfect rest stop before visiting Fushimi Inari.
Tip: next to the restaurant, a tap distributes water source Shiraguikusui-mizu, feel free to refill your water bottle!
