Umeda 梅田

In the northern part of the city, the Umeda area, and its huge shopping complex, is both an administrative and trade center by the railway junction.

Skyscrapers, shopping malls, banks, major retailers such as Daimaru, Hankyu, and Hanshin enliven the neighborhood served by the stations of the same name. Experience the big red ferris wheel,  one hundred and six meters high, located on the Hep Five building, to admire the view over the city, the port of Osaka and Ikoma mountains or head to the floating garden observatory, with views to seventy three meters above the ground from the outdoor gallery.

Don't miss the work of the architect Hiroshi Hara: Shin Umeda City, composed of buildings linked to the huge mall in 1920 style, as well as a floating garden on the 39th floor of the futuristic Umeda Sky Building . Cafes and restaurants offering various dishes on the floor with the observatory.
