The simple style and English menus are reassuring. The many ingredients that are laid on the table and the encrusted hot plate are a little surprising.
The cook brings the batter, shredded cabbage and the composition of your choice - pork, vegetables, tuna, squid or shrimp - and like an Italian chef, cooks the "Japanese pizza" before your eyes. From the cooking to the tasting, its quick! All you have left to do is go for a walk in the covered Higashi-muki gallery, which is home to Okaru.

My wife and I found this place on the strip when we were in Nara in October 2017. Everything we had was amazing. My wife got a chicken noodle dish that she got to cook herself. I got the okonomiyaki dish. My waiter mixed, poured and cooked this for me. I probably would of flipped it too early. Amazing staff and food. Will visit again.
