Last September, FamilyMart opened its first clothing store in Tokyo: a concept store that benefits from several collaborations with Japanese designers and is attracting more and more visitors to the capital. Japan Experience takes a closer look at this UFO.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
ADDRESS: 〒105-0023 Tokyo, Minato City, Shibaura, 1 Chome-1-1 ブルーフロント芝浦S棟 3階

A concept store with a cult following
On September 1, 2025, the konbini chain opened its first store in Tokyo, entirely dedicated to its "Convenience Wear" clothing line. Located in the new Blue Front Shibaura complex, near the hamarikyu garden the 62-square-meter concept store is already a fixture in the neighborhood!
Featuring more than 150 items developed in collaboration with Japanese designer Hiromichi Ochiai, founder of streetwear brand Facetasm, the store offers t-shirts, pants, sportswear, accessories and underwear at affordable prices for the whole family.
Famima's best-seller, the famous striped socks in the brand's colors, are also on sale in unlimited quantities (unlike standard konbini ). You'll also find towels and stationery with exclusive designs that can't be found in any of the 15,000 FamilyMart stores in the archipelago!
Prestigious collaborations
This winter, Hiromichi Ochiai intends to expand his collection with jackets and vests. He also plans to multiply his collaborations with big names in design, such as photographer Yoshiyuki Okuyama, who will present his photographs on garments, denim king Ochiai and actor and designer Kunichi Nomura.

Unique operation
If the concept of the boutique is appealing, it's also the way it works that attracts the crowds. Unmanned, it features only a self-service checkout. The store is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., but remains closed on Sundays and public holidays. Enjoy your visit!
